Who we are
BD Seven (bd7.org) is an independent information website about Bangladesh. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit the site and why.
Information we collect
We do not ask you for any personal information. BD Seven has no user accounts, comments, contact forms or newsletters, so you never give us your name, email address or phone number.
Some information is collected automatically when you visit, as described below.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand how the site is used: which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country or city), what device and browser they use, and how they found the site. This helps us decide which information to keep up to date. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. You can read Google’s privacy policy, and you can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Hosting and security
The site is delivered and protected by Cloudflare. Like any website, our servers and Cloudflare receive your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, and use them to deliver the site and block abusive traffic. If a security check is shown, Cloudflare may set a cookie to remember that you passed it. You can read Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
Charts
The share price pages load their charts from Highcharts (code.highcharts.com). Your browser requests the chart code from their servers, which receive your IP address as part of that request.
Cookies
BD Seven itself does not set cookies to identify you. The cookies you may see come from Google Analytics and Cloudflare, as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work.
Links to other websites
We link to other websites, such as mobile operators, stock exchanges and social networks. Their privacy practices are their own, and we recommend reading their policies when you visit them.
Children
BD Seven is a general information website and does not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
